Bare Resolutions, Reimagined

Bare Resolutions, Reimagined

This year, I’m done pretending that resolutions have to be shiny, extreme, or Instagram-worthy. Mine are practical. Lived-in. Born from a little exhaustion and a lot of clarity.

First up: I’m cutting back on travel. Sort of. I’m not going nowhere, but I am done with the one-week whirlwind where you finally exhale just as it’s time to pack up and bolt. If I’m going somewhere, I want to stay long enough to know the rhythm. The coffee spots. The neighbors. The way the light changes in the afternoon. I want to savor places instead of speed-running them.

Second, I’m resolving to charge what I’m worth. Full stop. I love helping people. That’s not changing. But creating workshops, resources, and experiences takes time, energy, and skill. And while generosity is lovely, home ownership is very persuasive. So yes, I’ll be offering online workshops. And yes, I’ll be charging. Because free doesn’t pay the bills, and burnout is not a business model.

Third, I’m getting serious about letting things go. I have a house full of stuff, and most of it doesn’t serve the life I’m actually living anymore. I’ve talked about decluttering for years. This is the year it stops being a concept and starts being a trash bag. Less coming in. More going out. Space feels like freedom now.

And because I’m clearly feeling ambitious, I’m also committing to working on my flexibility and finally, truly learning Spanish. Not tourist Spanish. Real Spanish. The kind where I don’t panic when someone answers me back.

So that’s my list. Grounded. Honest. A little overdue.

What about you?
What are you resolving for 2026 — and what are you finally ready to stop pretending you’ll “get to someday”?
