A new gay-focused, clothing-optional pool club called Cheeky is set to open in November 2025 in the heart of the Zona Romántica. Tucked inside Casa Fierro on Venustiano Carranza Street, this soon-to-be hotspot is the creation of local friends and business partners Erick Fierro, Brian Scott Carey, and Adam Young.
Just a short stroll from the small tunnel in Emiliano Zapata, Cheeky is designed to be a playful escape for those who want a blend of privacy, inclusivity, and community—without the chaos of the beach crowds.
A Hidden Oasis with Big Personality
Cheeky aims to be a secluded, inclusive, and affordable hideaway for locals and visitors alike. Its founders describe it as “the perfect spot to unwind, connect, and enjoy Vallarta’s energy—without sand in your swimsuit (or anywhere else).”
Guests will lounge beside a green-tiled pool framed by tropical plants, red brick walls, and comfy camastros (daybeds). The vibe? Soft house music. Gentle sunlight. Good drinks. Better company.

“It’s all about creating a space that feels easy, friendly, and free,” says co-founder Erick Fierro. “Everyone is welcome—locals, travelers, singles, couples. The only rule is good vibes.”

Cheeky’s poolside bar will serve all the classics plus a few creative frozen twists—like their soon-to-be-famous Frosé (frozen rosé). Every few weeks, expect rotating frozen cocktail specials such as:
- Frozen Charro Negro
- Frozen Tequila Sunrise
- Frozen Screwdriver
Hungry? The food menu keeps it simple, sexy, and satisfying—think chicken quesadillas, turkey pesto paninis, bacon and cheddar melts, chips, fruit, and snacks. Guests can even order delivery straight from Salchidogo or Jean’s Hamburgers, two beloved Zona Romántica favorites where Brian is also a partner.
And yes, your lunch may just be delivered by a smiling bartender in a speedo.

The idea for Cheeky was born out of friendship. Erick, a well-known realtor and owner of Casa Fierro, originally planned to add a pool for his guests. After brainstorming with Brian and Adam—Dallas natives turned Vallarta locals—the trio realized they could create something bigger: a boutique-style pool club designed for connection and authenticity.
“We’re building something that feels intimate and personal,” says Adam Young. “Not another big commercial club, but a place that feels like home.”
Adds Brian Scott Carey: “Sometimes you just want a place close by to recharge and escape—especially for those of us who live here or are staying somewhere without a pool.”
