JP Oliveira's Partner Update: Support Steve’s Urgent Medical Journey

Nick's Note: Many of you know JP Oliveira from his articles he submits to the magazine each month. His partner has had a extensive medical procedures and JP asked me to share this info.

Steve has been fighting to understand his health since 2022. Everything came to a head this December.

After doctors found multiple severe heart blockages, surgery became his only option. But just days before, he was rushed to the ER with acute kidney failure. Then came another setback—his platelet levels dropped so dangerously low that his life-saving heart surgery has now been cancelled twice, even minutes before going in.

Despite transfusions, steroids, and intensive care, nothing has stabilized. A bone marrow biopsy is now underway to determine what’s preventing treatment. Until that’s resolved, his heart surgery cannot happen.

We are facing ongoing hospitalizations, emergency care, and mounting medical costs—all while knowing his heart still needs urgent repair.

The financial burden is overwhelming. We are asking for help so Steve can get the care he needs without the added weight of financial collapse.
