March 3rd is the National Day of Unplugging.

Alright, boys. This one’s not about dimmers and cords. It’s about the glowing rectangle that owns your thumbs.

National Day of Unplugging is your official excuse to step away from the endless scroll, the notifications, the “just one more email,” and the algorithm that somehow knows you better than your ex did.

Most of us wake up and reach for our phones before we even stretch. We fall asleep with blue light washing over our faces. We say we want connection, but we’re out here double-tapping strangers while ignoring the actual human being sitting next to us.

Today? We break up with the screen for a few hours.

And no, I’m not saying go live in a cave. I’m saying power down long enough to remember what your nervous system feels like without constant pings. Let your eyes adjust to actual sunlight. Let your body remember what boredom feels like. Boredom is foreplay for creativity, by the way.

Unplugging can be sexy.

No distractions.
No buzzing in your pocket.
No checking who liked your post mid-conversation.

Just presence.

Maybe you take a walk without documenting it. Radical.
Maybe you cook dinner and don’t photograph it first. Wild.
Maybe you spend time with someone and don’t once reach for your phone. Scandalous.

If you’re single, unplug and flirt in real life. Make eye contact. Feel your pulse rise because there’s no filter, no delete button, no “unsend.”

If you’re partnered, try this: phones off. Bodies closer. Conversation without interruption. You might rediscover why you liked each other in the first place.

And if you’re alone? Even better. Sit with yourself. Journal. Stretch. Meditate. Or just lie there and breathe like a man who isn’t constantly performing for an invisible audience.

We spend so much time plugged in that we forget what grounded feels like.

Today, choose grounded. Choose present. Choose human.

Shut it down.
Step outside.
Touch grass.
Touch each other.

The world will still be there when you log back in.

And trust me… you’ll be hotter for the break.
