There comes a point when thinking about a trip becomes its own strange little hobby.

You look at the pictures. You read the itinerary again. You check the dates. You mention it to a friend. You picture yourself there. Then you close the page and tell yourself you’ll decide later.

And three weeks later, you do the whole thing again.

If you’ve been doing this with our December 2027 Christmas Market river cruise, I have a suggestion.

Put down the deposit.

I’m not saying this because I need to fill a ship tomorrow. I’m saying it because I’ve organized travel for a long time, and I’ve watched people talk themselves out of experiences they genuinely wanted because they kept waiting for the perfect moment to say yes.

The perfect moment rarely arrives.

There’s always another bill. Another obligation. Another reason to wait. Another person whose schedule needs checking. Another voice in your head asking whether you should spend the money.

Meanwhile, time keeps moving.

Here’s What You’re Saying Yes To

On December 1, 2027, we’ll begin our journey in Nuremberg and sail the Danube aboard the Avalon Impression.

We’ll visit Regensburg, Passau, Melk, and Vienna during one of the most beautiful times of the year.

The Christmas markets will be glowing. The squares will be filled with food stalls, ornaments, music, lights, and people bundled up with mugs of Glühwein in their hands.

But I’m not organizing this trip because I want to see Christmas markets.

You could book a flight to Germany and do that yourself.

I’m organizing this because of what happens when a group of people shares an experience like this.

It happens over breakfast when somebody says, “What are you doing today?”

It happens when four people who barely knew each other three days earlier wander through a Christmas market together.

It happens at dinner when somebody tells a story nobody expected to hear.

It happens when you return to the ship after a cold afternoon, sit down with people who have started becoming friends, and realize you’re already going to miss this.

Those are the moments I’m interested in.

Seventeen People Have Already Said Yes

We already have 17 travelers joining us.

That matters because this isn’t an idea anymore.

The group is forming.

People have made the decision. They’ve put down their deposits. They’ve started looking forward to December 2027.

And somewhere out there are a few people who keep visiting the page and thinking:

“I should do this.”
