Time Change for This Week's Mindfulness for Men

Just a quick heads-up that this week only, the Mindfulness Zoom will begin 30 minutes later than usual.

Mindfulness for Men
Sat 24 Jan, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM [PST]: A six-week pilot on Zoom designed to help you live in the now, not chase the next thing. This January, why not join us on a New Year’s journey of discovery and connection? Start your 2026 with focus a

Due to an important local meeting, Ant will start the session at 4:30 pm UK time instead of 4:00 pm. This extra buffer allows him to get home, settle in, and lead the session fully present.

If you join at the usual time, don’t worry, a message will be posted in the Zoom room letting you know when the session will begin.

Ant has been genuinely surprised (and delighted) by the strong turnout so far, with the first sessions drawing around 18 participants. While last week was a little quieter, there’s interest in continuing the series after a short break, and more details will follow.

Thanks for your flexibility, and we’ll see you at 4:30 pm UK time this week.

Here are the details from the previous announcements:

You do not have to have attended the previous sessions!

Start your 2026 with focus and intention. This year, rather than making yet more resolutions you won’t keep, try stripping back and learning to live more in the moment. Instead of stressing about the stuff you haven’t done, or the goals you’ve got to strive for, make time to take things one moment - even one breath! - at a time.

We are excited to announce a new 6-week pilot series of mindfulness practices designed specifically for guys like you. This journey is about stripping away the external noise and distractions and finding a sense of ease and acceptance within ourselves. Whether you are an old hand at meditating, or looking to find new ways to get in touch with what really matters, why not join us as we travel together towards a calmer, simpler, more connected way of being?

● When: Saturdays for 6 weeks, starting January 10th.

● What: If you are new to mindfulness, it is simply about being consciously aware of the "now," rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, helping you observe inner experiences and external events with acceptance, curiosity, and clarity.

● The Vibe: Relaxed, inclusive, open and real.

Clothing Optional: To foster a space of body positivity and comfort, there is no requirement to wear clothes for these sessions. Wear whatever makes you feel most at ease—whether that’s your favorite loungewear, gym gear, or nothing at all.

● Where: Hosted on Zoom - here is the link:

● How long: Each session will last for approximately half an hour, including a brief check-in and feedback time, with the option of extending the session for a further 30 minutes if people wish to talk more about their experience, or any ideas arising out of the session.

Global Start Times:

● GMT (UK): 4:00 PM (4:30pm THIS WEEK ONLY!)

● EST (New York): 11:00 AM (11:30 AM THIS WEEK ONLY)

● PST (Los Angeles): 8:00 AM (8:30 AM THIS WEEK ONLY)

There is no need to book or register, simply log in at the time shown, using the link above. The room will be locked once the practice itself begins, so please be punctual!

Help us make this a permanent fixture! This pilot scheme will determine our ongoing schedule for the rest of the year.

Anthony will be your guide along this journey. Based now in rural Scotland, Anthony is a widowed gay Yorkshireman with experience of facilitating similar sessions with the former Men’s Connection group on Discord, as well as in person in his local town.

To ensure a safe, inclusive, and comfortable environment for everyone, we ask all participants to observe the following "House Rules":

● Privacy First: Please join the call from a private, secure location where you won't be interrupted by housemates or passers-by.

● Come as You Are: Whether you choose to be clothed, partially clothed, or nude, the focus is on your internal journey and our collective presence.

● Camera Etiquette: To foster a sense of presence and community, we ask that all members keep their cameras on.

● Muted by Default: We will start with a brief check-in. However, to minimise background noise, please remain on mute once we begin the guided practice itself.

● The "Above the Waist" Rule: While clothing is entirely optional for these sessions, please position your camera to show your head, shoulders, and chest only. Keeping the frame focused above the waist ensures we can see each other's faces and connect authentically without distraction, or the space feeling voyeuristic.

● No Recording or Screenshots: To protect the privacy of all members, recording of any kind is strictly prohibited. What happens in the session stays in the session.

● Anonymity: We recognise that for some people it is important not to be identifiable in sessions such as this, so you are welcome to set your screenname using just your first name, or a nickname

● Mutual Respect: These sessions are open to men of all orientations, from all backgrounds, ethnicities and spiritual pathways, so it is expected that all participants treat each other without judgement or prejudice of any kind.
