A Small Change… And a Big New Adventure
For the past three years, I’ve sent the GoNaked Newsletter three times a week: Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday.
It’s been a huge part of my life, and honestly, I’ve loved it.
But after three straight years of creating newsletters nonstop, I’ve realized something: a lot of the recurring sections take an incredible amount of time to produce every single week. The photo challenges. Coffee Talk reminders. Calendars. Subscription notices. All important, but also repetitive.
So starting this Sunday, I’m reclaiming one day a week back for myself and for some new projects I’ve been building behind the scenes.
One of those projects is called Dorothy Travel.
Now before anybody starts worrying, GoNaked Travels is not going away. I still plan to continue clothing-optional travel in 2028 and beyond. But next year, I need to slow down a bit, give my body a break from constant travel, and focus on building something new while preparing for my eventual move to Mexico.
Dorothy Travel is a different kind of travel/social society. It’s designed for people who still want adventure, connection, conversation, beauty, and community as they move into the next chapter of life.
The name comes from three different Dorothys:
Dorothy Gale from The Wizard of Oz, representing curiosity and the courage to step into the unknown.
Dorothy Parker, representing sophistication, intelligence, and sharp conversation.
And Dorothy Zbornak from The Golden Girls, representing wit, honesty, and the ability to cut through nonsense quickly.
Curiosity. Sophistication. Wit.
That’s the spirit behind Dorothy Travel.
This won’t just be about vacations. It’s about building community for people who still feel curious about the world and aren’t interested in fading quietly into the background just because they’ve hit a certain age.
For the bohemians.
The late bloomers.
The romantics.
The people starting over.
The people reinventing themselves.
The people who still want one more adventure.
There will absolutely be travel involved: river cruises, gatherings, cocktail hours, salons, conversations, and shared experiences. But the real goal is creating connection.
If that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, I’d love for you to join the mailing list at DorothyTravel.com.
And don’t worry. I’m not disappearing. I’m just making room for what comes next.
Take care, stay bare,
Nick
