For $3.50, You Could Give a Child in San Miguel a Christmas Gift
Help me bring Pancho’s Christmas adventure to 150 local children during La Posada.
This Christmas, a little donkey named Pancho is getting ready to share the magic of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico with 150 children.
And he needs a little help from his friends.
Each year, families in our neighborhood gather for La Posada, one of Mexico’s most beloved Christmas traditions. Children and adults walk together, sing songs, share homemade food, break piñatas, and celebrate as a community.
About 150 children take part in our neighborhood celebration.
We have already prepared more than 150 gift bags filled with candy, small toys, games, and a box of 24 crayons. This year, I wanted to give the children something more personal. Something created especially for them.
Meet Pancho
Pancho is a cheerful little donkey who lives in San Miguel de Allende.
I created an original 100-page coloring book featuring 50 single-sided images that follow Pancho as he prepares for Christmas. Along the way, he visits familiar streets, meets local friends, celebrates Mexican traditions, and experiences the joy of the holiday season.
The children will recognize parts of their own city and culture throughout Pancho’s story.
Each book costs only $3.50 to print.
That means:
- $3.50 gives one child a coloring book
- $17.50 gives books to five children
- $35 gives books to ten children
- $175 gives books to 50 children
- $525 provides books for all 150 children

I have already spent several thousand dollars preparing the gift bags and supporting our La Posada celebration. Now, I’m asking my GoNaked friends and readers to help us print Pancho’s coloring books.
