I Need Help Testing Some New Holiday Card Software
For the past seven years, GoNaked has hosted a holiday card exchange. The idea is simple: tell us how many cards you'd like to send, and you'll receive roughly that many names in return.
Unfortunately, behind the scenes, it's been anything but simple.
Every year I'd dump everyone's information into a spreadsheet, manually shuffle and assign names, email everyone their list, and then spend the next several weeks answering questions like, "I never got my list," "I forgot to update my address," or "Can you tell me who I'm supposed to send cards to?" It worked... but just barely.
Last year I tried getting AI to help automate the process, but the tools simply weren't ready yet.
This year is a different story.
Over the last three months, I've been building a custom app designed specifically for the GoNaked Holiday Card Exchange. It can:
- Accept registrations automatically
- Randomly assign names with a single click
- Give each participant a private link to their recipient list
- Let you look up your list anytime online
- Track which cards you've already sent
- And a whole lot more
Before I launch it for the real exchange in late October, I'd love your help putting it through its paces.
Beginning today, you can register as a beta tester at christmascardexchange.com. I'll run a test drawing on Monday night, and everyone will receive an email with a link to their assigned list.
From there, I simply want you to use the app and tell me what works, what doesn't, what you love, and what features you'd like to see added.
Don't worry—you won't actually be mailing Christmas cards during this test. This is simply a dress rehearsal to make sure everything runs smoothly before the real exchange begins.
